I have been painting for about two years now. It was initially a retirement pastime that has grown to become very significant to me. I have no background of formal art training. I consider myself a prophetic artist, it is all God inspired! He uses my feeble hands and talents to reveal His creation and presence. I do receive visions and instructions with the creation of some pieces. Some of the pieces are from my own imagination or personal desire to paint. I am myself a work in progress! Just like my art! My ultimate desire is to produce spirit inspired art to bring light to the eye, soul and spirit of those that gaze upon it. Thank you for taking time to read about me and view my work. - Louise

The business has blessed me in many ways. It allows me to do what I love every day— work with flowers (grown both locally and all over the world!), design amazing floral arrangements and pieces, and connect with our local community on some of the most significant days of their lives.

Charles W. Kimble (Charlie) has been experimenting in all types of media and photography since childhood. From the first Polaroid camera he received around 1970, he took thousands of photos graduating to better film cameras (and yes, VHS) and now digital. He may be considered a “Jack-of-all-trades” artist; there is no one type of media or topic that is his main focus. However, acrylics and colored pencil are the top two featured along with some mixed media series including laser cut/engraving. He is a USAF veteran having served as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist. Soon after serving, he started a family and focused on earning an income and art took a back seat for a couple decades. He spent nearly all of his career managing various warehousing, home delivery, large scale distribution and procurement operations. Now retired, he has kicked the car out of the garage and is happy to be able to create and experiment with all types of creative projects. “Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” - Andy Warhol"

I am a multi media artist who paints mostly using gauche. I paint still lives, landscapes, animals as well as characters. I also enjoy fiber arts like knit and crochet. I also teach art in order to inspire others to have the coping skills art gave me.

I create vibrant, geometric artworks inspired by different visual elements from cultures around the world. I use color, shape, and design to create strong, symmetrical compositions that make your eyes and mind wander. Because my work is based on the textiles, designs, and cultural elements are various regions (but no one in particular), viewers often enjoy imagining the stories and places my work reminds them of, whether it be somewhere they are from, or somewhere they've visited. My aim is for my work to form connections not only between the artwork and the viewer, but also between the viewers themselves as they share and remember their own experiences.

Two or More derives its name from two sources. First, we believe that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is there also. We are always gathered in His name. Secondly, we started out as a husband-and-wife duo (David and Valerie Gillespie) hosting a weekly jam session. Some weeks there were just the two of us and other weeks you might find eight or ten musicians gathered together playing everything from Abba to ZZ Top. Just kidding! Fear not! We are usually playing country, bluegrass and 70s soft rock. Valerie is a lifelong jazz musician who has earned her stripes playing the saxophone. She has recorded several of her own CDs and has played as a studio musician on many others. She has traveled internationally and played with some of the greatest musicians in the world. She has branched out and her instrument arsenal now includes the bass and banjo. That is what brings her here today. Today’s ensemble includes Valerie (on bass) and David (on acoustic guitar) and Mike Spino (on acoustic guitar) to round out the trio. You will find an additional part of our group at the corner of 7th and Pasco Ave. You can find us each Tuesday hosting a jam session at The Uptown Creamery in Dade City from 6:30-8:30. Feel free to bring an acoustic instrument and join us or just grab an ice cream and sit back and enjoy. If you would like to book us as a duo, trio, or quartet, please email dgillespie17748@gmail.com or call 813-335-9924. We are available for a variety of occasions.

Diane Talmadge
A native of Ohio, Diane Keske Talmadge began drawing portraits as a child and over the years has gained recognition throughout the South for her unique and sensitive style of oil portraiture. She has the ability to capture feeling and personality as well as an incredible likeness of her subject, displaying a softness unusual in her field. Although specializing in children, Diane paints adults as well and as a break between portrait commissions she does figure studies, still life and an occasional landscape. Following her move to Florida, and after taking several years off to raise a family, Diane began studies with well known portrait artists Christopher Clark of Tampa, and Marilyn Bendell of Longboat Key, Florida. She also traveled to Rockport, Massachusetts to study with renowned artist/teacher Daniel Greene, and participated in the National Portrait Seminar in New York City. Her works have been exhibited extensively, winning numerous awards and she has held many one woman shows. Her paintings now hang permanently in several financial institutions, hospitals, country clubs, Government buildings and in many private collections throughout the country. One of Diane's "streetscapes" was accepted into the 1996 "National 100" shows, a national juried competition seeking 100 of the best paintings in America and sponsored by The Florida Art Center and Gallery in Havana (Tallahassee). Diane is one of Florida's foremost commissioned artists and works privately with consultants, designers and clients.
Diane Talmadge recognizes the central importance of light in making her subjects visible and tangible, so that they can infuse our minds with ideas and emotions. The central sensibility in her paintings is the celebration of a particularly American brand of the good life, a comfortable existence where childhood is a supreme state and the play impulse is exalted. Rather than sharpen features and details, Talmade's light softens -- but psychological nuances remain sharp and crisp. She makes a canny use of photography to capture a specific, unrepeatable gesture or facial expression. Her artistry lies in balancing the subtle, the fleeting expression captured, with the firm bedrock of her technique, the reliance on the illuminating power of light. Even though she is in the lineage of a society painter like John Singer Sargent or William Merritt Chase, who documented middle class values in their turn of the century portraits, the stripped down unadorned presentation of her sitters is in the tradition of itinerant early American portrait painters, who eschewed surface elegance to portray the essence of their subjects. Another source of inspiration could be Mary Cassatt and Edgar Degas. Talmadge approaches her classically feminine subject matter of mothers and their children with the same vigorous craftsmanship and graphic ability as Cassatt. She understands the placid life and provides the viewer with a feeling of intimacy. Her draftsmanship recalls the line work of Holbein, greatly admired and studied by Degas. With talent and facility in the recording of externals, Talmadge deftly comments on the values and aspirations of the class she portrays, yet her work is without satiric or ironic intent. Diane Keske Talmadge, like recorders of society before her, knows that her strength is in seeing -- seeing both exteriors and through to inner, motivating social values.

I am originally from Nicaragua, but lived most of my life in the US, in the San Francisco Bay Area and now in Dade City. I have always loved creativity and the artistic process, while making things beautiful and harmonious. Pointillism, especially dot mandalas, give me both inspiration and a sense of order (in color, pattern, etc.) Everyone comments that I must have a lot of patience, but what this art form gives me is the ability to concentrate and feel balanced. I hope you feel inspired too!

I have been an artist for many years. Always trying and testing out new mediums. I fell in love with acrylic paint and canvas. Years of just dabbling led me to a craft I enjoy. One day a friend reached out in a panic because she needed a face painter for her event, after her current face painter had an emergency and could not attend. She reached out to me knowing I paint on canvas and asked if it would be something I could help with. After a couple days of research and practice and an inability to say no, I started to play in the world of face painting. It was a lot different than what I usually do but I decided to give it a try. My favorite part is at the end when I get to see the kid’s face light up at the reveal. That in itself is a reward. So now I pick up and learn along the way . I’ve been a face painter since October of 2023 and have fallen (literally) into it.
